Amy grew up in the early 90s along a dirt road in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania, spending her days reading Sassy magazine and dreaming of moving to NYC to become a fashion designer. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 she fulfilled that dream, designing apparel for the Free People brand when it was just getting off the ground. After several years as a designer, she finally moved to NYC to pursue her love of textiles. After a few years Amy realized that NYC was not all it’s talked up to be, and felt a strong desire to start out on her own, so she moved back to Philadelphia and started what is now a world-leading textile design studio – PRINTFRESH STUDIO. Ten years later, Amy has returned to her first love, fashion design, to launch her eponymous line A.Voloshin. Being a mom Amy, felt that there was a gap in the market that she feels she has something to contribute to. Inspired by her love of travel, and the desire to provide busy working mothers with something elegant yet wearable, the A.Voloshin line will feature easy-to-wear dresses and blouses showcasing hand-crafted print and embroidery. You’ll find popovers for busy weekends running around town and cool loungewear for relaxing evenings at home. Amy is excited to launch her line in 2017 and have it develop over the course of the incubator program.
